"Looking out to see in"
What do we think about when we look out to sea? For most people it is a rare opportunity for solitary and serious reflection. By isolating figures within muted seascapes, Slater unites those moments of unknown personal introspection and freshly embedded memories which are to be awoken in years to come by the sound of seagulls and the taste of salt.
